Ansar and VDP responsibilities
(1) The main responsibility of the force shall be-

(A) to assist the Government or any authority under the Government in public safety work and to participate in any other security work;

(B) Participate in any public welfare work directed by the Government for the development of socio-economic condition of the country.
(2) In particular, and without compromising the totality of the above provisions, the Force shall, at the direction of the Government, provide assistance and assistance to the following forces, namely: -

(A) ground forces;

(B) the Navy;

(C) the Air Force;

(D) Bangladesh Rifles;

(E) the police force;

(F) Battalion Ansar 6

(1) The main responsibility of the village defense team shall be: -
(A) to take part in public welfare work for the development of socio-economic condition of the country;

(B) provide assistance in law and order and public safety work;

(C) to perform any duty prescribed by the Government from time to time

(2) The members of the village defense team may carry and use arms and ammunition subject to the policy formulated by the Government and the time, instructions and conditions imposed by it.
